The Five Benefits of Multiple Incomes

The Five Benefits of Multiple Incomes

Image result for multiple incomes

When any form of financial crisis develops you recognise the importance of establishing multiple incomes. The reason I mention this is the uncertainty that has come from the whole Brexit situation. I have noticed a general consensus of un-ease and people curbing their spending in the environment I work within. Hang on... Work? You're an author aren't you? Well I am and I freely admit that I don't just work as an author. I also work in a large corporation in the capacity of business analyst, social media team leader and a project leader. In fact, whatever the corporation can do to use the skills available then it will. In addition, I worked as a photographer for eighteen years and submitted work to photo-banks and finally I worked as a creative writing lecturer for evening classes. You may wonder why on earth I did all of that. Well I have always been a firm believer in being able to support yourself. There will always be crisis, financial ups and downs and times when you want to sit back and enjoy. Yes there is more to life than money; however, money enables you the freedom to enjoy ]'the more to life.'

After watching the markets this week, I wondered about people and their incomes and their spends. So many people put their money on credit cards in the hope of better times. The way I see it is the best time is now. Times do change; however, facing your finances, modulating your income and being inventive in establishing multiple ways to generate income can become a pleasure. I know people that have foreign students who study English stay in their house. Others allow people to stay in their spare rooms or park on their drives. There are so many ways to generate incomes yet so many individuals become fixed in their financial beliefs and consider only one option. Consider how money can be made on Ebay, it can be made by writing, not just books but articles. Art works, web designs even speaking can all generate incomes and those incomes can be funnelled into paying off mortgages, generating rainy day fund and paying off debt. There are so many ways to make money, it is just a case of putting your mind to it.

I know this is obvious, yet when I speak to people about multiple incomes they say that I am lucky. No it is not luck, it is a decision. You make a decisive decision to determine additional ways to make income and action it. Consider how many hours people sit inanely in front of the television. One of those evenings could be spent generating extra income. That little bit of extra money generated over ten years makes for a sizeable sum.

Over the years I have read plenty of books on the money making subject such as The Rules of Wealth, The Richest Man in Babylon, The Automatic Millionaire, The Four Hour Working Week and Think and Grow Rich - to name but a few. The thing is one can make learning how to make money a hobby and the by-product is moving towards financial freedom. There aren't many hobbies that enable that are there?

So my Five Benefits of Multiple Incomes are:

  1. Being able to have money to play with, for rainy days and general reserves.
  2. Being able to pay off debt quicker and save quicker.
  3. Not relying on one income when the job market is unstable.
  4. Learning that money making can be fun, learning adaptable skills and money making skills.
  5. Money dictates your tolerance level and reliance on a job. When you have multiple incomes if something annoys you then you have the power to say 'stuff it'.

5 of 5 stars A brilliant, well-written, compelling read. 11 Jun. 2016
By LMS#YOM - Published on Amazon.com
This is a fascinating and powerful book that delves into the workings of financial institutions perfectly. After a lot of soul searching and personal debate the main character, Gillian, joins M.O.N.E.Y but then she quickly realises what a cult-like existence it is. Gillian bears witness to the extreme pressure to fit in and become part of the clique, but does she really want to conform? The challenges and demands put upon the ‘chosen’ ones to constantly improve and achieve their optimum is intense. The deceptive tactics used are all a part of M.O.N.E.Y’s control, but then comes the devastating feeling of being owned. Is it all too much for Gillian? Will she survive M.O.N.E.Y? A brilliant, well-written, compelling read.

MONEY FARM - THE POWERFUL WHY

MONEY FARM – THE POWERFUL WHY

I had a suspicion that the financial industry concealed an entirely different world within their financial fortresses. That world was purposely inaccessible to the average person. That world seemed exclusive, complex and purposely incomprehensible. I wondered how that hidden world related to the persuasion to overspend and generate credit card debt as ‘normal’ through being bombarded by endless adverts perpetuating dissatisfaction. By penetrating the financial walls Money Farm became a vision of the future. Access to the ‘behind the financial scenes’ provided perfect insights into what could happen if a financial power dominated the markets and took control of governments.

This book was powerfully translated into audio by Helen Lloyd, a remarkable audio producer. She was purposely selected as the voice of Money Farm because of her passion and extraordinary ability to impart the story so it resonated with the core of the readers’ being.

CHAPTER 7

THE COMPLEXITIES OF A CASH-RICH COMPLEX

The simplicities of life are what make it rich.

Complexity makes things unfathomable. There is reason for that.

The complex had always fascinated me; however, there had been no time previously to watch the comings and goings of the M.O.N.E.Y.s. What’s more, there were no statistics revealing how much the M.O.N.E.Y. individuals earned. The only research I could find stated that every worker had been psychologically profiled and perfectly aligned to their corresponding role within the system. The M.O.N.E.Y. ‘farm’ had concealed and restricted all access to their information. The secrecy of the M.O.N.E.Y. behaviour triggered a gut reaction - something did not financially add up. How could the M.O.N.E.Y.s be so financially stable amongst a debt-driven economy? Surely investment was coming from somewhere – but who? Was there a system or pattern to their financial habits and status?

The more I studied the more obvious it became how the debt habit consumed the world outside the M.O.N.E.Y. farm. The universal acceptance of debt as ‘normal’ remained unquestioned by the masses. Banks lent to banks, people borrowed from banks and government sovereignties generated debt between countries and banks. All lent and borrowed to and from each other with a variety of differing interest rates. Debt was being used to support additional debt. Over time a stalemate developed and the debt disease infected the majority of the world including governments, corporations and individuals. Everyone who stepped into the debt dynamic remained trapped in the cycle of financial survival and growing repayments. Any kind of debt confession received sneers in the same way as alcoholism or drug addiction. How could people have the audacity to lose financial control? How dare they admit financial weakness and vulnerability? The society that taught its individuals to suppress emotion also endorsed debt avoidance and debt denial. In fact, the addiction to financial lack through the illusion of loans had caused the original issue. Denial would ultimately lead to further crisis. Suppression resulted in a debt disease – the financial cancer. All the while the distracting celebrity circuses invaded the homes of the mass who were repetitiously fed dissatisfaction. Over two thousand messages per day repeatedly told the individual they were not good enough. Their unsuspecting subconscious was being persuasively raped – the result buying objects and things that they did not need to fulfill an empty desire to conform and feel good enough. The more the individual was told they were not good enough, the more products were offered to solve that issue. It never worked, no psychological problem or belief could be solved with an object. The real issue was the lack of individual self-esteem.

In contrast, M.O.N.E.Y.’s appeared united in their financial methodology. It was like watching a rare breed flourish amongst the collapsing system. What’s more, they weren’t living off the ruin of others. They were not parasitic, more symbiotic. They had been privy to an insight into accumulation whilst others lived in depreciation. They were a wealth hybrid that now controlled the financial machine. Something mysterious was taking place behind the walls of the M.O.N.E.Y. farm. It was no coincidence that their behaviour was so calculated. The more I watched the M.O.N.E.Y.s, the more fascinated I became. M.O.N.E.Y. held the answers into an alternative and an insight into the M.O.N.E.Y.-tary system. Maybe there was a level of progression within their system. Maybe it could reveal financial answers to society as a whole. The question was: how did one find out?

Narration - Helen Lloyd - Kick A$$!
Really Great Narration - Brits and Aussies and Germans and more. Lovely voice to listen to and she even captured the rather robotic nature of the cult-like members of the Money Farm.

This is a really terrific book - and is it bad that for the majority of the book I was thinking "sign me up!" (or at least sign up one of my grand-kids and let me move into one of the retirement neighborhoods).

The Money's are all 'their best selves' due to the nutrition and fitness requirements along with a few other treatments along the way which are tailored to each individual and allow them to reach their full potential. All their needs are met, they have no debts, no worries, they are appreciated and they all live in really nice digs. (like I said...sign me up!)

It's a smartly written and thought provoking book of a Dystopian/Eutopian society where our heroine Jyllian finds her-self jobless with her savings running out. She ends up being selected to join the M.O.N.E.Y.'s as a "breaker" because of her intelligent & rebellious way of thinking. She is to challenge their systems and find ways to break them, all in the name of making them better.

The story follows her and a few other select characters through their introduction to Money, their training, their indoctrination and ultimately through their discovery of what Money's goals really are.

I can't really say much more without giving away too much, but I thought it was a really terrific book. It was hard for me to 'get into it' in the beginning, but I plan to listen to the start again.

It's smartly written and filled with intricate details about these two "worlds". Really an interesting book about the state of the worlds finances! Loved it! I'm actually stunned that I'm only the second review of this book on Goodreads. READ or LISTEN to it! It's a keeper!

MONEY SPOTTING

All systems carry patterns, cycles and trends.

QUESTION:

What enables the wealthy to accumulate while the poor depreciate?

After the redundancy, my resolve to understand the financial system and money handling became action. In fact it became my obsession. There was fascination, there was dedication, but this was a true obsession. I had one year’s savings – enough to buy time to search for a decent job. I applied for research roles on a daily basis and utilized the rest of my time to analyse and digest the economy of wealth generation in comparison to debt degeneration. Obviously, there was a division of wealth between the rich and poor but there was a new anomaly in the market: the M.O.N.E.Y.s., simply called The Moneys. The M.O.N.E.Y.s were an alternate breed of people filled with financial secrets. They resided behind the monetarily high walls of the M.O.N.E.Y. farm. M.O.N.EY. was a banking institution set on a series of huge islands just off the coast. Each island was linked by bridges which filled vast grounds. The only access was over lifting bridges and each island was walled. It was a modern financial fortress and had existed for over two hundred years. They said that if trouble came then the islands could up-anchor and move to calmer waters. I had often wondered why M.O.N.E.Y. would choose to be on the sea and not on land. Everything they did was for a purpose, so why choose the sea and not the land?

Over the years I would peer from my landing window and admire its ornate structure. The intricacy of linking bridges resembled a web of connections. I wondered whether each island had a different function. On the central island the majestic architecture reached up into the sky and reminded me of a financial cathedral. On other islands there seemed to be housing, food and water-refineries. There were days, and this blew me away, where they would test the motion of the islands and re-organise themselves. Each island moved around. They could add additional island platforms to each interconnected structure they had just created. New bridges would be quickly constructed and the Money farm would have a new financial field ready for its cash crop. The place was independent, separate and completely unique.

After a little research I found out that in the last twenty years, when banking blame became rife, and fingers pointed in the M.O.N.E.Y. direction, the M.O.N.E.Y. farm closed its doors, gates and lifted its metaphorical bridges. M.O.N.E.Y. purchased all the surrounding islands, the nearby land and the whole of the quay area. The quick acquisition of a bankrupt shipyard in a neighbouring inlet resulted in floating engineering feats that could be bolted on to the financial flotilla. It quickly built high walls around each island, a series of lifting bridges, and became self-sufficient. It rapidly grew into an enormous complex set of islands with greenhouses, gardens, fields and housing complexes. Quite coincidentally the expansion coincided with the third collapse. As a response M.O.N.E.Y. evolved its own financially exclusive system - one that remained inaccessible to the outside world. A system that worked, grew and gained financial power. That power threatened the whole of the banking system including the sovereignties.

MONEY FARM CHAPTER 5

MONEY FARM CHAPTER 5

BLAME - THE DISTRACTION FROM POSITIVE ACTION

If something does not work change it.

Stop repeating patterns that do not work.

There are alternatives.

Why waste energy blaming when responsible acceptance will shift and transform negative into positive?

Researching caused me to delve into the depths. I searched for alternatives and noticed the lack of general responsibility. Of course fingers were pointed and blame was passed but nothing would change until the fragments of society united. Everyone was responsible because everyone’s expenditure contributed to the system. What’s more, the endless holding and hoarding of cash caused disruption. Money was the financial system’s blood which circulated like the tide – an ebb followed by flow. The people did not see the big picture because they were in the system so therefore could not witness the system from the objective perspective. You place a person in a human sized box and close the lid then ask them what is outside the box…. how do they know?

I lost sleep over the fact that the united social potential hanging in ether remained unimagined. Instead, society protested against the structure it existed within. Without any action towards an entirely new system, nothing could change. One can never achieve an undefined goal. Abstract cannot manifest in reality without a catalyst for existence. The destructive cycle continued and individuals remained trapped in their illusionary financial bubbles. People worked against each other rather than together. The promise of a better future kept the masses marching. However change had to begin now to enable the future to flourish. That meant each individual had to take responsibility for their contribution to the system and take action. These thoughts were what I had become. They were all part of my vision. I realised that something in me needed to take action and make global change. Yet how could one small person change a world caught in the financial illusion?

After that meeting I trudged home in the rain and glanced at my reflection in the puddles beneath my feet. My deflation contradicted my strong but rounded physique and my long brown wavy hair stuck to my rain-blasted face. My navy woolen dress, tights and long brown boots embodied my academic identity on a frigid afternoon in March. I fitted the academic mould – intelligence, knitwear and a decorative brooch. Who was I without the institution? My hopes of life-long acquisition of knowledge deteriorated. Three simple sentences on a given day had unexpectedly destroyed a person’s life. Rage brewed in my stomach and anger became my fuel – in the depths of that feeling I resolved to understand the details of the system, focus on its weaknesses, discover the strengths and break it. In the pit of my being, I felt I had the capacity to be a catalyst for massive change. Knowledge was my power, writing my skill and providing the individual with the opportunity to be the best they could be was my motivation. The etheric system had already anticipated my intentions. It was ready for me. M.O.N.E.Y. was aware of my research and intended to welcome me with open, financial arms. Of course they had to wait until my defenses were down, my pride had perished and I was ready to accept their conditions. There was a different way, I had to be part of it to understand it to enable the world to know. Financial prosperity for one and all was my dream where everyone contributed because they felt valued and safe. What a dream!

Money Farm Chapter 4

MONEY FARM CHAPTER 4

CHAPTER 4
COLLAPSE, CRISIS AND CATHARSIS
When something breaks it can be rebuilt, better and stronger.
When one denies something is broken it will remain broken.
I spent hours consumed in thought and observing the financial system during the years leading up to the first and second collapses, demonstrations were rife, but unfortunately no alternative systems were offered. The small fires were put out but the inferno beyond was concealed. The talkers talked at and about the system but there was no evidential action. Figures were modified prior to elections, new currencies were introduced and debt as the debt solution continued. Society remained focused on that which did not work, so much so, a new way remained elusive. People were in debt, banks were in debt and sovereigns were in debt. Mass debt and mass denial. Keep the façade, maintain a smile and never disclose your wealth or lack of it for one could be shamed.
Obviously it dawned on me: the reality was that the world needed to understand what worked and increase that instead of focusing and repeating that which did not work. For change to happen the fragments of society needed to unite and work together. They needed to accept one another’s differences and celebrate a variety of thought. Rather than work against each other, they had to move as one – the swarm mentality. Effective change could take place quickly once the swarm formed and motioned in unison. All the while the swarm was unaware of itself and its potential; instead, bees stung bees and fragments financially combusted.
Another revelation came to me: leadership was not management. The mass were being managed rather than led. Where was the visionary who could see the potential in the mass, their minds and their potential unity? Whoever it was remained hidden, maybe they were mad amongst the mass mania. Maybe the one who sees the truth was labelled as the oddity. Needless to say, the lack of information and leadership stopped positive action taking place and fear stopped people uniting through the fear of difference. Imagine if people stopped fearing each other and united and connected. That would be a disaster for the rulers because they would have lost control generated by fear and the repetitious false message clearly recommended in The Prince written by Machiavelli. Positive change could not take place until people united in their hearts, minds and souls. A united connection between all souls and all people could transform the world into a state of paradise. It was just that people were so consumed in survival that they had not seen the vision of absolute potential. Positive enthusiasm was needed to connect the individuals in a common purpose and cause.
